Got Plans You Want Processed the Buy Bid Way?

General Contractors can submit their construction plans to us for processing. Thats right Commercial & Residential General Contractors can have their construction plans listed like the other construction projects on buy bids. 

Q) How does Buy Bids Process my plans?

A) We break the plans down into specific trade groups (i.e., Painting, Drywall, Flooring, Framing), then we perform each individual trade group quantity takeoff. We then list each pre-estimated trade group in a listing on our platform for purchase. Each pre-estimated takeoff will have a project summary in listing description. The spreadsheet, Markups, and other documents contractor needs to bid will be downloadable upon purchase. Once a subcontractor purchase is made simply add your material, labor and other line-item prices. Once prices are added to the spreadsheet you will then have your bid price. Lastly, the contractor will create a bid proposal and send it to the Business listed information and wait for a notice of award.

Q) How do I send my bid set plans to Buy Bids for listing? 

A) You can send your plan by PDF, Direct Link, Google Drive, Drop Box, box, Google Drive and email. If you use a pre-construction website, just forward us the invite and make sure we have a way in to the documents, as we will need to download them from the platform. 

 

Q) How much does it cost to get my plans processed the Buy Bid way?

A) It is 100% Free for General Contractors! We only ask that once you submit your plans you invite your list of subcontractors to bid your project the Buy Bid way. Maybe even share us on social media. We greatly appreciate it.

 

Q) Are there any plans you do not accept?

A) We handle this on a project-by-project basis. We can usually pass or fail a construction plan in less than 5 minutes with our software. If the project is incomplete or has inaccurate information, we will not accept it. If we get a project where the architect has copied the plans from one project and pasted them to specs for a different project, we will not accept them. We do not do any projects that are not up for bid. If the plans say, "not for construction use", we will not accept them. If you're looking for a budget bid or you're in-design phase, we will not accept the plans. If there are a large number of duplicates, we will not accept them. If we get a folder with more than one bid set in it, we will trash it. We are very picky about what we post on Buy Bids. We don't want to waste our clients time or money. If your plans are complete and ready to be bid by subcontractors, we will gladly process and list them the Buy Bids way. We only accept construction project plans that are 100% complete, have a project due date, plan pages must be numbered, plan pages must have titles, and must be software friendly. We use Plan swift, Square Takeoff and Stack Takeoff to name a few. We do not currently accept 3D plans.

Do not purchase any pre-estimated Buy Bids services unless you have solid professional experience in the trade(s)and or skill set(s) you are bidding of no less than 7 years. Do not purchase any pre-estimated Buy Bids services unless you have had an uninterrupted Valid consecutive 7 Years experience as a licensed contractor in the commercial, Residential or Industrial trades in which you intend to bid using our pre-estimated Buy Bid services. If you do not have at least 7 years and 1 day of experience in the commercial, residential or industrial trades you intend to bid on you are prohibited from purchasing projects for bidding purposes. If you are not a licensed contractor, you are also prohibited from purchasing construction project(s) for bidding purposes. If awarded or not awarded a project the outcome of all bid projects is the responsibility of the person or business entity submitting bid(s). All contractors must have experience with spreadsheets, plan markups, construction project summaries, contract reading, contract negotiations, billing Types (AIA), insurance requirements, Bonds, Shop Talk, Blueprint Reading, and the current construction bidding processes and so on.
